It’s funny how you can drive by a place that you spent time at one point in your life and it brings up the same memory everytime you drive by it….even 30 years later. I tend to associate spaces in time with music that was playing at the time or places. Both scenerios bring me right there…as if it were happening today. It’s how I remember things and events in my life…important or not.
I would have been very upset 25 years ago, or even not so long ago, if I was cancelled out twice by a television program, or anything else. What I’m referring to is being postponed by a ‘Headline News’ talk show on Friday, March 12th at 7pm EST.
I thank the people who have responded to my blogs, and especially to those people who have read the book and have taken the time to give me feedback….all positive so far.
More amazing thing are happening everyday. My Public Relations firm, “Mouth Public Relations”, has firmed up an appearance on ‘Headline News’ cable channel to be interviewed by Jane Velez Mitchell, who is a very sharp Journalist. They are telling me that I’ll be on her March 5th broadcast. There have also been communication with ‘Dr. Phil’ people or producers. Now I have mixed emotions about getting this much attention, but the fact is I owe it to HCI Books who took the chance on publishing “Cocked and Loaded”.
I have been getting some good feedback on my book, “Cocked and Loaded”, from people who I know that received the book from amazon.com . It really feels good that I’m getting positive feedback and that this book could help alot of people. Dr. Don Mullaney’s(deceased) wife commented on how proud she is and how proud Don would have been to know how honest and straight forward the book turned out. Debbie Mullaney also commented that the book brought back a lot of memories.
So far my life hasn’t changed and hopefully it won’t. Even if I was going to make a lot of money from this book, which I probably won’t, I will continue to work with addicted people…mostly first responders at BHOPB. I will continue to work as long as I’m physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally able to.
